EqualSplit is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Oak Park, California (EIN 42-2981880). This page explains what information we collect through equalsplit.org, why, and what we do with it.

WE DO NOT TRACK YOU

This site runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no tracking cookies. We do not know who visits, where you came from, or what you looked at. There is no account to create and nothing to opt out of.

WHAT WE COLLECT

Only what you type into a form and send us.

Free unit application. Your name, email address, school or program name, location, program type, roughly how many athletes you work with, how you currently time, and whatever you write about your situation.

Question form. Your name, email address, and your message.

That is the complete list. If you never submit a form, we collect nothing.

WHY WE COLLECT IT

Applications are read by the two of us to decide where donated units go. We compare need across programs, which is the whole reason the form asks about athlete counts and current timing methods. Questions are answered by email.

We may email you about your application or your question. We do not run a marketing list and will not add you to one.

WHO ELSE SEES IT

Formspree delivers our form submissions to our email. Google Workspace hosts that email. GitHub Pages hosts this site and keeps standard server logs. Zeffy processes donations; if you donate, your payment information goes to Zeffy and never touches us. We never see or store card numbers.

We do not sell your information, trade it, or hand it to anyone for their own use.

PHOTOGRAPHS OF ATHLETES

Some photos on this site show athletes using our gates. We publish those only with permission from the coach or program, and we rely on the program to have whatever media releases its athletes and their families require. If you are in a photo here, or you are a parent or coach of someone who is, email us and we will take it down. No explanation needed.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

Applications stay in our email so we can follow up and keep track of which programs are still waiting. Questions stay until they are resolved. Ask us to delete something and we will.

MINORS

This site is meant for coaches, athletic directors, and adults running programs. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has sent us information, email us and we will remove it.

CHANGES

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. We are a small organization and this page reflects how we actually operate, not a template.
